I learned of this site only by accident a few years back while on vacation, in trying to locate a Famous Grave in California. Yes--John Wayne. Now that I have begun research on family sites it is very helpful. My research has taken me to Kerr, Lynes, Williams, LaMothe, Moseley, McNeel, Bryan, Austin, Roberson, Reese, Buller, Sims, Shivers, Kervin, Gassiot/Gassiott (these are from my husbands) Stone, Coleman, Shurtleff, Browns, Howards,Leonards, Boles, Jordans, Owens, Franklin, Hanna(these are from mine) and probably many more to come. My husband's has also proven to be linked to Groce, Wharton, Waller, Cuny, Foster, Bracey, Spurlock, Stubblefield, Lipscomb all of Waller County(Austin)and many more. Fulton & Wells from Louisiana. Many of these families are part of the "Original 300" of Stephen F Austin. Also my search has led me to a very small neglected family cemetery located approx. half mile from my home, Turner-Thomas. Should I have a memorial under my care and it is related to you please feel free to ask for transfer, unless it is my immediate family. I was born in Houston-Harris Cty, and moved to the Cleveland-Liberty Cty, Texas area, and did not go too far, I now reside in Magnolia-Montgomery Cty . My travels have taken me to all of the cemeteries where believe it or not, all of these ancestry's reside! My research has also provided me with the rich and great Texas history of these families who were original TEXANS!
