PIONEER WICHITA WOMAN SUCCUMBS
Mrs. Elizabeth Wiseman Tong, 76, pioneer resident of the city, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. J. Smith, 1745 North Spruce avenue, following an illness. Mrs. Tong has resided in the city for more than 40 years and has been a member of the St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal church for more than 35 years.
Mrs. Tong has ben active in church and lodge circles and is well known here. She was a member of Rebekah lodge No. 70.
Mrs. Tong is survived by her husband, F. M. Tong, 1702 North Grove avenue; a daughter, Mrs. J. J. Smith, Wichita; two sisters, Mrs. Lina Carter, Springfield, Mo.; Mrs. Estella Hoover, Clinton, Mo., and a brother, John K. Fortquer.
Funeral services will be held at Gill mortuary at 3 p. m. Friday. Dr. L. Morgan Chambers, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist Episcopal church will officiate. Burial will be in Wichita Park cemetery.
