Elizabeth Driver Cole was born on October 20, 1818 in North Carolina. Her parent's names are not known. She married Loyd Cole in Wake Co., NC on December 9 1836. They had one daughter there, before moving to Georgia by 1840. In Georgia they added ten more children. Three of those children died before the age of five and are buried in Georgia. In 1876 they moved to Rusk Co., TX. She died May 2, 1893 of heart disease at her home in Rusk County, and is buried in Crims Chapel Cemetery.

According to her obituary, she had been a long time member of the Missionary Baptist Church. She was a kind, devoted wife and mother,a good neighbor and above all a good Christian. She was always cheerful and bore her affliction with great patience. (The obituary was by her granddaughter Lucy Toney Gibson)

Note: This cemetery contains the re-interred remains of nearby Gibson Cemetery, which was destroyed by lignite mining.
