IONA M. BRAMES, 88, of Monroeville, passed away 1:25 a.m. Thursday, July 31, 2014 at Signature Care Center in Fort Wayne. She was born Aug. 25, 1925 in Allen County, a daughter of the late Ernest E. and Anna E. (Keil) Bacon. She married Kenneth R. Brames on June 5, 1948 and he precded her in death in 1983. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Monroeville and the Rosary Society. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her sons, Patrick J. (Linda) Brames, Thomas W. (Carol) Brames and Timothy L. (Lorrie) Brames, all of Monroeville; and daughters, Sandra S. Simshauser and Diane K. (Dean) Buuck, both of Monroeville; sister, LoArta L. Lee of New Haven; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Warren and Gerald Bacon; son-in-law, James Simshauser. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Monroeville, with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m. prior to service at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, Monroeville. Father Laurdino Fernandes officiating. Visitation is from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday at Zwick & Jahn Funeral Home, Jacobs Chapel, 111 South Water Street, Monroeville, with a Rosary service at 4 p.m. Burial in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Monroeville.
