OBITUARY-Mary M. Thompson, 79, a nursing assistant and bus driver who owned homes in Sterling and Madison, died at home in Madison July 27, 2007.
She was born July 2, 1928, to the late Clarence and Rachel Martin. She worked as a nursing assistant at Georgetown Hospital and the old Leesburg Hospital, and later was a bus driver for special needs children at Didlake in Manassas.
Her daughter, Frances Drawdy, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Harvey Wilson Thompson Sr. of Sterling and Madison; three sons, Harvey Thompson Jr., Terry Thompson, and Fred Thompson; four daughters, Mary Barbee, Pamela Miller, Catherine Shore, and Vickie Bengier; two brothers, Clarence Martin and Allen Martin; three sisters, Esther Starkey, Betty Whorton, and Helen Costello; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Thompson was buried July 30 in Sterling Cemetery.
