The Minden (La) Democrat (May 5, 1911)
DEATH OF A RESPECTED
CITIZEN
Dubberly, La., May 1, 1911--
Mr. W.T. Woodard, an old and respected citizen of this place passed peacefully away at his home Saturday night the 29th ult., at 9 o'clock. He had been ill but a few days and this sad termination will be quite a shock to his many friends. At the bedside were all of the immediate family, they have been summoned by wire. The deceased had a large family connection and the sympathy of the community goes out to them in this sad hour of their affliction.
The remains were interred in the family burial lot at the Fellowship grave yard Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock. Quite a large number of sorrowing relatives and sympathetic friends assembled at the grave to pay a last tribute to his memory and many others were deterred from attending on account of the inclemency of the weather.
