Mrs. Dorothy Marie Lawson Cavins, age 67, of Forrest City, died Tuesday, March 27, 2007, at the Forrest City Medical Center. Her death came sudden and unexpected. Mrs. Cavins was born September 16, 1939, Almyra, Arkansas and was the daughter of Richard Emmitt Lawson and Dovie Duncan Lawson. She lived in Forrest City since 1971, was owner and operator of Head Hunter's Beauty Salon, was a member of the Widener Baptist Church and was president of the Crowley's Ridge Bowling Association. Mrs. Cavins married Ben Cavins and he preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by a very special companion, Mr. Sonny DeWitt of Forrest City; one sister, Mrs. Elsie Moss of Almyra and five brothers, Mr. Raymond Lawson of England, Arkansas, Mr. Sidney Lawson of Copperas Cove, Texas, Mr. John Lawson, Mr. Lester Lawson and Mr. Ricky Lawson all of Almyra. Services for Mrs. Cavins will be held graveside, 10 a.m., Friday, March 30, 2007, at Yoder Cemetery in Stuttgart.
