Wilson, OK — Funeral services for Mr. Clinton Armond Alexander, 66, of Wilson are scheduled for Saturday, March 27, 2010, at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Duck officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.


Armond was born April 26, 1943, at Hewitt, to the late Mr. Lee Clinton "Clint" and Mrs. Lois Estell (Kincheloe) Alexander. He passed from this life Tuesday, March 23, 2010, at Wilson.


Armond was raised in Wilson attending school here. He joined the United States Army at the age of 16 and served in Germany and a short time stateside.


He and Darla were married in the mid 1960s and resided in Winter Haven, Florida, until moving back to Wilson a few years later. Armond worked as a wrecker driver for a while and then later was employed as a diesel mechanic for Cashman-Copeland International. He later became self-employed as a diesel mechanic.


He enjoyed making wood furniture and doing carpentry. After his father passed away, he became a constant companion to his mother providing help. He was a proud "Grumpy" to all of his grandchildren.


Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. Clint Alexander, July 15, 1991, and Mrs. Lois Alexander, Aug. 1, 2005.


Survivors include his three sons, Clinton Armond Alexander Jr., Thomas Mark Alexander, and Jason Lee Alexander, all of Oklahoma City; eight grandchildren, Sierra, Clinton Lee, Kathleen, Brandon Lee, Jason Lee, C.J., Emilee, and Sarah; one great-granddaughter, Julianna; four sisters, Pat Brawley and husband, Ray, Linda Hunt and husband, Marshall, both of Lone Grove, Shirley Coble and husband, David of Greensboro, N.C., and Virginia Southerland of Wilson; two brothers, A.L. Alexander and wife, Pam and Wesley Alexander, both of Bacliff, Texas; the mother of his children, Darla Hunter of Oklahoma City.
