He moved to Marietta, OH and raised and sold Italian queen bees, bee frames, and honey. He also made shoes at the Stehle and Fisher Shoe Store. After the flood of 1884, Reinhard bought land in several places on top of Harmar Hill (called Fairview Heights at the time). His homestead farm is now Marietta's Lookout Park. Reinhard had his farm plotted as the Stehle Addition and sold peripheral lots along Fairview and Lancaster Streets for income. Reinhard was a active, scientific farmer for the rest of his life. He died following a fall in his barn in 1913.
