Louvenia Allen Rawley was a daughter of Daniel and Mary Hughes Rawley. She married James Edward Glover on January 17, 1849 in Smith County, TN, by Joseph Dickens, JP. They were the parents of 12 children: Van H., Robert William, James Edward, Jr., Darius Tennessee, George David, Minnie Virginia, Sidney Stanton, Nancy Elizabeth, Martha Adelaide, Brice Napoleon, Mary Louvenia "Molly", and Alta Hula Glover. She raised her granddaughter Alta Mai Glover, the daughter of her eldest son Van. Alta Mai's mother died when Alta was only a few days old.

Mrs. Luvina Glover died on Christmas day at Bagdad, Jackson County. She was 88 years of age and a devout Christian woman, having served as a faithful member of the Methodist church most all of her life. She was the mother of 12 children, eight of whom survive her. She is also survived by a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as a host of friends.
