Mrs. Agatha Foreman, deceased wife of Daniel Foreman, of Lancaster, Ohio was born in Frederick Co. Virginia, March 29,1821 and died April 9, 1896, aged 75 yrs. and 11 days. Her maiden name was Worthen and her brother James P. Worthen of Hartford City, Indiana, is the only surviving member of their father's family.
She was united in marriage with Daniel Foreman Dec 27, 1843, and for more than half a century they have walked life's path together. The golden wedding was passed on earth, the diamond wedding may be passed together in the home where parting is unknown.
Of their marriage eleven children were born, six of whom are still living. A son and daughter live in Indianapolis, another son and daughter live in Marion, Ind., one son in Dayton, o. and a daughter in Tippecanoe City, O., Mrs. John W. Underwood.
Seventeen grandchildren, together with the six children make thirty two descendants living at the time of her decease.
In early life she became a christian and for nearly forty years she has been a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
The funeral services were held Saturday, April 11th, Dr. W. L. Slutz, who had charge of the services was assisted by Rev's. Sherrick, Beery and Munk. A large number of people accompanied the body to the last resting place in Forest Rose Cemetery.
