Biographical: While speeding 325 MPH, his streamliner went out of control and he flipped end over end. He had just finished the timed mile when his vehicle suddenly swerved out of control. He died five hours after the crash in a Salt Lake hospital. He was from Sacramento, California, and was co-owner of a speed shop in Redding. He was survived by his parents, his wife, Karlyn, and brother, Jared, and sisters, Holly and Annice. He was raised in Medford, Oregon, and attended the Oregon Technical Institute in Klamath Falls. He was a long-time member of the Southern Oregon Timing Association.
