Lynn Frank McClure, age 76, of Neola, passed away March 21 at the home of his daughter, surrounded by loved ones.

He was born April 24, 1933, in Evanston, Wyo., to Francis and Juanita Mae Workman McClure. He married Cleo Wooley, and they later divorced. He married Thelma Barton, January 23, 1960, in Roosevelt.

Lynn worked as a Policeman for the Affiliated Utes, for a short time in the Duchesne County Sheriffs Department and in the Roosevelt Police Department-all together spanning about 15 years in law enforcement. Before retirement he worked as a Heavy Equipment Operator for the US Forest Service. He was also president over the Ute Distribution Company for a few terms. He enjoyed being in the mountains. He was a gracious man who had many friends, loved little kids, and would help anyone in need.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma, of Neola; children, Trudy Lynne (the late Jack, Jr.) Boren, Vernal; Wendel Frank McClure, Grantsville; Darla (Jack) Dotter, Vernal; Robert "Bob" (Tana) Dunsmore, Roosevelt; Onie (Ken) Ross, Roosevelt; Steve (Paula) Dunsmore, Bluebell; Dannie (Carma) Dunsmore, Herald, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Edwin McClure; 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wed., March 24, at the Neola LDS Chapel. A viewing will be on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger Mortuary and from 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.

Burial will be in the Neola Cemetery.

The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. Greg Staker and his staff and all the hospice workers who helped with the care of Lynn.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wed. March 24, at the Neola LDS Chapel. There will be a viewing at the Hullinger Mortuary on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. and from 10-10:45 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
