James C. Collins
James C. Collins, 71, of 409 East Fifth Street, a former lumber dealer here, died Saturday night about 8:30 at the Veterans hospital, Fayetteville.
Funeral services are being held today (Monday) at 2:30 P.M. in Stephens Funeral Chapel, with Rev. A.P. Stephens conducting. Burial will be in New Hollywood Cemetery.
Mr. Collins, a son of the late Lodrick and Mrs. Ila Byrd Collins, was born and reared in Lumberton, Rt. 3. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Vernie Willis Collins; two daughters, Mrs. Todd W. Barton of Lake Worth, Fla., and Miss Betty Jean Collins of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three sons, Douglas of Greensboro, Hilburn of Charlotte, and Samuel Collins of Lumberton; ten grandchildren; and one brother John H. Collins of Lumberton, Rt. 3.
