Annette Hanks died at the Sullivan County Nursing Home in Unity, NH on July 21, 2000. She was born on September 30, 1911 in Claremont; the daughter of Frank and Eugenie "Jennie" (Rivet) Kidhardt.


She graduated from Stevens High School in 1930. She lived in Cleveland until 1934, returning to Claremont in 1947. She retired in 1976 from Indian Head National Bank after fifteen years as secretary/receptionist. She had previously been secretary to the publisher/editor of the Claremont Daily Eagle. She was a member of the Emblem Club, the American Legion Auxiliary, and Stevens High School Alumni Association.


She married James Hanks on December 1, 1934 in Claremont who preceded her in death. She was also predeceased by brother Ernest Kidhardt.


Survivors include her daughter Beverly A Janelle of Claremont; son James G Hanks, Jr of Claremont; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother Louis J Kidhardt of New Holland, PA; longtime friend Violet M Holmes; one niece; and four nephews.


Burial is in St Mary's Cemetery.
