Clarence E. Taylor was born July 9, 1900, the son of George A. and Maude Greenwood Taylor. He was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan but moved with his family to Engadine, Michigan at an early age. . He and Elsie Lavern Moran were married December 30, 1918 in Saginaw, Michigan, a union which lasted 62 years and produced seven children: Julia Louretta; RG Moran; Robert Dell; Lorraine Viola: Anita Maxine; George Henry; and Dale Edward. Clarence lived in Melvin, Saginaw and Mio, Michigan and Tarpon Springs Florida. He died in Tarpon Springs in January of 1980 at the age of 79 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery at Melvin, Michigan.
