Obituary
Alexander Swanson who died on Aug. 22nd, was born on Dec. 24, 1854, in Cathnessshire, Scotland, and settled at Grinnell, Ia., in 1877 where he resided some 28 years and in 1906 came to Alberta, taking up his residence east of Olds where himself and family have since resided. Deceased leaves, besides a wife and six children, ten grandchildren, four sisters and one brother. All the children were present at his death except one. The funeral services were conducted on August 24th from the residence to the Olds Cemetery. The family have the sympathy of the community in their sad bereavement.
