Mrs William Kirkbride, 79 years old died from bronchial pneumonia at 6:30 Wednesday evening at her home at 226 Santee Avenue, after an illness of 10 days duration. Mrs Kirkbride was the eldest daughter of Levi and Grace Decker, having been born Jan 21, 1837, in Washington Co. She would have been 80 years old next Sunday. She was married in June 1835 To William Kirkbride who has been dead for the last seven years. Ten children two of whom died in infancy, where born. Those surviving are: Elston, Nathan, Gracey, Mrs Grace Athey, Mrs George Duval, Mrs S V Curtis, Mrs Frank Strine, She had been a devout Christian all her life, belonging at the time of her death to the U B church in which she had always taken an active part, until four years ago, when she became blind. The funeral arrangements await work from some of the children.
