Mr. Jackson was born March 20, 1911 in Quitman, Miss. He had been a resident of Colorado City since 1919. He married Ollie Opal House on February 17, 1937 in Snyder. She preceded him in death on September 13, 1990. He was a farmer and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Faye Nell and James Herm and Frances and Dickie White; two sisters, Vera Schafer and Gladys McGee, both of Colorado City; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to San Angelo Boys Ranch or the West Texas Rehabilitation Center.
