My maternal grandmother died in 1918 during the Spanish Flu epidemic. She had 3 children, my mother was 2 years 1 month old, Emma Carter had been out nursing her friends & neighbors who were ill. She came home and laid on the sofa and asked my grandfather to go out and pump a glass of water for her, when he came back with it, she was gone! RIP
