Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, C. C. Pointer and Pearl Kathrine Allison Pointer; son, William Carl Allen and daughter, Donna Kim Allen.
Survivors include her son, Donald Allen, his wife, Kathy, four grandchildren, Craig, Kathrine, Dustin and Dessa and her husband, David, three great-grandchildren, Layla, Haley and Veda.
Joan's biggest pleasures in life were her family and dear friends, which she considered to be blessings. She will be dearly missed.
A memorial service to celebrate Joan's life in heaven will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 24th at Evergreen Cemetery burial site, 1005 South Hancock Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO.
