"Mrs. Anna F. Frantz Dead.
The death of Mrs. Anna Frick Frantz, widow of Jacob M. Frantz, occurred on Saturday evening at the home of her son, Dr. Frank F. Frantz, No. 251 Elm street, of general debility incident to old age. She was in her eighty-ninth year, having been born on July 25, 1826, in Manheim township, and was a daughter of Jacob and Mary Frick. She was the last surviving member of a large family and was a sister of the late Mrs. Salinda Swartley, of this city, and Dr. Abraham E. Frick, a surgeon in the United States army. She married Jacob M. Frantz in 1845, and up to the time of his death in 1909 they resided at the old Frantz homestead, "South Bend," along the Conestoga creek, in Lancaster township. These children survive: Anna F., wife of Dr. Stanley L. Krebs, now residing with her family in Berlin, Germany; Dr. Frank F., of this city; Andrew E., of this city; Dr. Abraham E., of Wilmington, Del., and Edward B., of Elwyn, Pa. Mrs. Frantz was a member of the Reformed Mennonite church. The funeral was held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Reformed Mennonite church, on East James street. Burial in Longenecker's burying grounds at Strasburg."
