Christmas Day 1986 always will hold special significance for Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sidman and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Posson of Norton. Mrs. Sidman and Mrs. Posson are sisters.
They all were attending a family dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Wendel of Almena when the phone rang. It was a call announcing the birth of Jason Gurney to Robert and Roxy Stonerook of Upland Neb. Roxy is the Sidman's granddaughter.
Two hours later, the phone rang again. Yep, it was to announce another birth – that of Anastacia Lynne to Marti and Mary Lea Straub of Wichita. Mary Lea is the Posson's granddaughter.
