Amanda Harman was born Feb. 21st, 1847, died Sept. 6, 1888, aged 41 years, 6 months and 15 days. Services from the West Grove Christian Church by Elders Waymire, Crider and Campbell, Sept. 8th, at 10 A.M. Over twenty years ago Sister Harman united with the United Brethren Church and was a consistent member of that church until Jan. 22nd, 1881, when she united with the Christian Church at West Grove, and was a true member of the same until the Master called her from labor to reward. As a church, we have lost a sister from our midst, who shared with us the joys and sorrows of a Christian life; her neighbors have lost a true friend; a husband has lost a kind and faithful wife; the children have lost a loving mother; the brothers and sisters have lost one who was ever dear to them; the aged father has parted with a kind daughter. Your hearts, with ours, will be sad and lonely as we go on through life without her. May each one of us be comforted by the following:

"Then let my soul rise far above,

By faith I'll take my wing,

To the eternal realms of love,

Where saints and angels sing.

"There's love and joy that will not waste,

There's treasures that endure;

There's pleasures that will always last,

When time shall be no more."
