Her parents were Phillip Walters b. 28 July 1830 and died about 1890 in Schley or Marion Co., Ga. and Martha A. Hill born about 1824 and died 14 Dec. 1886 in Marion Co, GA. Her siblings were Charles E. (Tift Co, Ga), Marshall E., John Randolph (Tift Co, Ga.), William and Mary F. Walters.

Death of Mrs. T. J. Poole

Funeral services for Mrs. T. J. Poole were held at the Baptist Church here Monday at 3 o'clock. Rev. C. D. Carter assisted by Rev. H. H. Hersler conducted the obsequies. Mrs. Poole was 70 years of age. She had been ill for sometime, but had sufficiently recovered to visit the home of her son, Mr. Claude Poole, when she was again stricken with the result that she died at 10 o'clock.
Mrs. Poole was a member of the Ellaville Baptist church and had led a consistent Christian life. Besides her husband, she is survived by nine children, five sons and four daughters as follows: Messrs Tom, Claude, and Bob Poole of Schley County, Homer Poole of Sylvester, John Poole of Ty Ty (GA), Mrs. Fletcher DeVane, Mrs. Bob Wall, and Mrs Will Hill of Schley County, Ga and Mrs. Edgar Hill of Sylvester, besides a large number of grandchildren. Interment took place in the local cemetery.

Family history says she had a brother named Phillip. No information on him.
