Maezelle Newby, 82, was a retired telecommunications operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone where she had worked for 32 years. She moved to Graham in 1927. Miss Newby was a charter member of Memorial Christian Church in Graham.
Survived by one sister - Lois Atwood; two nieces - Sue Ann Clay and Carolyn Newby; one nephew - William R. Newby.
Miss Newby was preceded in death by her parents; one brother - Morris Newby and one niece - Jane Adams.
