The youngest child of Heinrich Friedrich Wilhelm "Henry" Albers and Lena Wilhelmine Peters, Flora was born in St. Clair County, Illinois. The family moved to north St. Louis County, Missouri after her father died in 1926.
As a young teenager, Flora worked as a cook for the family of Joseph Desloge, Sr. and Anne Kennett (nee Farrar) Desloge in north St. Louis County, Missouri. He was a descendant of the family for whom Firmin Desloge Hospital was named.
Flora's mother also worked for the Desloge family as a housekeeper. She died of cancer in 1932.
Flora married Oliver H. Peimann on 28 Nov 1937 at Salem Lutheran Church in Black Jack, St. Louis County, Missouri.
At the time of her death, Flora was 87 years, 7 months and 22 days old. She was buried next to her husband, Oliver, who passed away in 1992.
