Barbara Elizabeth Patterson was born on 4-17-1880 in (probably Oktibbeha Co.) MS. She was the second oldest child born to James Alexander and Emma (Summerford) Patterson. Around 1888 the family moved to an area west of Abilene, TX. On 4-16-1901 in TX, she married Edward Laffette McCoy. He was born on 6-5-1879. Their children were: Floyd, Thurman, Lottie, Vivian, Buster, and James Odell. Ed McCoy died on 10-1918. Barbara McCoy died on 2-14-1965 in Abilene, TX. Age 84.
