Mr. Bell passed away Wednesday morning at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. The husband of Mary Elizabeth Tatum Bell, whom he married on March 28, 1980, he worked as a foreman with the Armira Corporation and as a farmer. He was born November 9, 1925, son of the late Basil Lester Bell and Eula Mills Bell and lived all of his life here. He served in the US Navy during WW II and was a member of Reaves United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter and her husband, Dorothy and Wayne Gatewood of Middleton; a son and his wife, Lester and Linda Bell of Middleton; a brother, Frank Bell of Middleton; a sister, Virginia Wheeler of Hermitage, AR; three grandchildren, Jason Gatewood, Alisa Barkley and Sharon Bishop; and five great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Ann Bell, a brother, Raymond Bell, a grandson, Michael Bell and his first wife, Madge Kirk Bell.
