Born April 10, 1932, she was married to Ronald Lee Wheeler, who survives, and lived in Hermitage for over 30 years, where she was a City Councilwoman and served on the Election Commission. She also worked at the Tomato Shed. She was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and gospel singing, and collected salt and pepper shakers.
Survivors are her daughter, Carole Howell (Jimmy), Bolivar TN, sons, Larry Baker (Gail), Union City, TN, and David Baker (Betty), Jackson, TX; brother Frank Bell (Frances) Middleton, TN; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, with one on the way. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edward Baker; parents, Basil Lester and Eula Mae Mills Bell; brothers, Raymond Bell and Harold Bell; and two grandchildren, Timothy Edward Baker and Tim McClendon.
