Company "K" 6th West Virginia Cavalry. Originally enlisted in Company C 2nd W. Va. Infantry. The 2nd Infantry became the 5th W. Va. Cavalry and he served in Companies "K" & "C". The 5th Cav was combined with the 6th Cav and he served in Company "D."
Civil War.
A Review of the D.C. showed several errors. It list his father as "Carlington" Bowman and mother as Rebecca Honenker. However we have the marriage license from West Alexander , PA that she was Rebecca Madden.
