Clara Noesges, the daughter of Frank and Angeline Schmitt Noesges, was born 12 August 1855 at Holy Cross. She married 17 Nov. 1909, in St. Raphels Cathedral, Dubuque, Mathias L. Sweeney. She died 10 Nov. 1955 at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Spiegel, Farley. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Church Cemetery, Farley.
Survived by four daughters, Sister M. Serena, BVM and Sister M. Alvita, BVM both of Chicago; Mrs. Carl (Beatrice) Spiegel of Farley; and Mrs. Vincent (Eileeen) Burds of Epworth; three sons, Rev. D. F. Sweeney of Plymoth Rock, Ia.; Herbert J. Sweeney, Epworth, and John L. Sweeney of Endicott. NY. Two sisters, Mrs. F. S. Ferring and Miss Frances Noesges, both of Farley. Two brothers, John F. Noesges of Dubuque and Philip M. Noesges of Michigan City, Ind.
