Services were conducted Wednesday at
2 o'clock at the Associated Chapel in Greenbrier by Rev. Ronald Teague and Rev. Gene Moffatt. Burial was in Bethlehem Cemetery.
He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, a native of Robertson County and a son of the late John Henry and Dora Elmore Bowling. A retired city employee, he was a member of the signal division of the police department in Nashville. He belonged to the Franternal Order of Eagles.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Bertha Bradley Bowling of Greenbrier; two daughters, Mrs. George R. Borton of Redwood City, CA and Mrs. George E. Walker of Nashville; five grandchildren; one brother, Adam Bowling of Greenbrier and one sister, Mrs. Joe Nash of White House.
