Earl Monroe Yarbrough, age 77, of Lakeland, FL died of cardio-respiratory arrest Sunday, October 1, 2005 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. He was born March 10, 1928 in Manatee County. Mr. Yarbrough came to Lakeland from Jacksonville in 1964. He served in the Air Force as a sergeant and was a first lieutenant in the Army. He was a cost engineer for IMC. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of San Francisco. He was a sales representative for Burroughs Corp and later worked for Westinghouse. He worked for Wellman-Lord as an estimator for 15 years and retired from International Minerals and Chemicals as a cost engineer. He attended Resurrection Catholic Church where he also volunteered. He did volunteer work for Catholic Services.

Mr. Yarbrough is survived by his wife, Kay B. Yarbrough; sons, John Yarbrough, Lakeland; Peter Yarbrough, St. Pete; daughters, Jennifer Bouldin, Angelica, NY; Amy Whitman, Lakeland; sister, Carnell Bettette, Mill Valley, CA; Peggy Jaicks, Sarasota; brother, Wilbur Yarbrough, DeLand; and 8 grandchildren.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2005 at Resurrection Catholic Church. Arrangements by Gentry-Morrison, Dukes-Steen Chapel.
