Mrs. Lena Garrison of St. Petersburg, Fla., a former resident of Mulberry for many years, died at 2:45 p.m. Saturday Jan. 4 in the Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida at the age of 80.

Mrs. Garrison was a native of Marshfield, Ind. She was born on Sept. 16, 1888 to Thomas H. and Lucinda Siddens DuVall.

She was married to Grover C. Garrison on Sept. 16, 1908. His death occurred in 1951. He was the owner of the Garrison Oil Co. in Frankfort.

They lived in Mulberry until 1947 when they moved to Frankfort. Mrs. Garrison moved to Florida in 1958.

She was a member of the First Free Methodist Church in Lafayette.

She is survived by three sons, Grover of Frankfort, James of Bloomington, and William of Lafayette; seven daughters, Mrs. Edith Harvey and Mrs. Evelyn Schetzsle of Lafayette, Mrs. Nadine Owen of West Lafayette, Mrs. Eileen Weidner of Mulberry, Mrs. Genevieve Morrow of Lebanon and Mrs. Violet Bryan and Mrs. Hazel Blood of St. Petersburg; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur McDowell and Mrs. William R. McDowell of Lafayette; one brother, Thomas Duvall of Indianapolis; 29 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were in charge of the Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. L. M. Gaines officiating and burial was in the West Lebanon cemetery.
