ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Shirley McNeel Fenner, 81, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of Sutherland, died Dec. 14, 2004, after a short illness at Albuquerque Regional Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M.
She was the only daughter of Louis and Gladys McNeel of Sutherland. She lived in New Mexico for the past 60 years, moving to Albuquerque in 1968 after raising her family in Hobbs. Shirley was active in politics, a tireless advocate for Albuquerque and a world traveler.
Survivors include her sons, H. Allen (Chip) Fenner and John Fenner; daughter-in-law, Lisa Fenner; granddaughters, Krista McNeel and Amanda Joy; and grandson, Andrew John.
At her request there will be no public memorial service. The family wishes to thank all her friends who have shown concern, friendship and support over the years and offered their prayers.
