Thelma Carol Moody

Thelma died peacefully in her sleep on December 15, 2007, in St. George. She lived 90 wonderful years, surrounded by family and friends. She was a resident of Red Cliffs Regional Care Center. Thelma was born in Enoch, Utah, December 22, 1917. She was the second child, of four children, born to Nephi G. Stevens and Clarinda Dalton Stevens.

Thelma C. Stevens married Lawrence E. Moody of Crawford, Nebraska, in Oakland, CA, August 1936.

Always industrious, she instilled great work ethics in her children. She gave them the skills to always finish what they started and never fail. She was the wind beneath their wings. Thelma worked in the Naval Shipyards in Alameda, CA. She was a licensed Cosmetologist in California, Nevada, and Utah. She worked in Las Vegas as a hairstylist, and she worked in Utah during the war, while her husband was in Germany. After the war, Thelma opened her own hair salon in California. Thelma was a master of crochet. Her hundreds of dolls in their crocheted clothes were her pride and joy.

Her husband, Lawrence E. Moody preceded her in death in April 2000. As well as her brother, Darel Stevens.
She is survived by her two children, Fonnell Terry Lo Cicero of St. George and Reynard A. Moody (Darlene) of Eureka, NV; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Thelma is also survived by her two sisters, Elnora Adams and Velva Jamison both of St. George.
