VERNA P VOLAND

Verna P. Voland, 93, of 21312 Rockville Road, Kiel, died Friday evening, March 27, 1998 at Friendship Manor, Kiel, where she had resided for the past three months.
She is the former Verna Voigt born Feb. 5, 1905, in the town of Schleswig, the daughter of the late Theodore and Antonie Loos Voigt. On Feb. 6, 1924, she married Roy H. Voland at her home in the town of Schleswig. The couple farmed in the town of Schleswig until retiring in 1966. Roy died April 3, 1977. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran church, Louis Corners, the church's Ladies Aid for the past 63 years, Merry-Go-Round Homemakers Club for the past 70 years, and Kiel Senior Citizens for the past 25 years.
Survivors include one son, Myron (Arleen) Voland of rural Kiel; one daughter, Mar Jean Plate of Hilbert; four grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Clinton (Margaret) Voigt of Beloit; and one sister, Leolia Schroeder of Kiel. She was preceded in death by one sister, Leona Feld and one grandson.
Funeral services will be held at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Louis Corners with the Rev. Ted Olsen, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Schleswig Cemetery.
