Mrs. Helen Thresa Voland passed away at her home at Garnet on Sunday, September 10, 1914, after an illness of several months.
Helen Krueger was born at Chilton on June 11, 1876. After leaving school she entered the convent at St. Nazainz where she remained for thirteen years. On May 7, 1901 she was married to William Voland at Woodville.
Most of their married life was spent at Garnet where her husband conducted a blacksmith shop.
The funeral was held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock and the remains were interred in the Rockville cemetery. Rev. A. C. Plappert of this village officiating.
