Florence Hawkins moved to Young County with his parents as a child.

Services for pioneer resident of Young County, Mrs. A.C. Casey, 84, were held at the Jean Methodist Church with Mrs. Wilma Corse, former pastor of the Jean Church officiating. She was assisted by Rev. Robert Richmond, pastor of Salem Methodist Church in Graham.

Mrs. Casey was a longtime resident of the Farmer Community. She died at the home of her son, Hugh Casey following a long illness.

Her parents came to Young County in 1879 and settled in the Hawkins Chapel Community.

Miss Mollie J. Hawkins married Allen C. Casey on 19 January 1892 at Hawkins Chapel. Young County Marriage Records Book B., page 42. He preceded her in death.

Mrs. Casey lived in the Farmer Community almost her entire life.

Survived by two sons - Willis Hawkins Casey of Jean and Hugh Levin Casey of Graham; three daughters - Mrs. R.M. Hall of Loving, Mrs. A.L. Clements and Mrs. J.W. Beaver, both of Fort Worth; two brothers - J.W. Hawkins of Dimmitt and Rev. L.D. Hawkins of Aurora, CO; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter -Mrs. Hubert "Ollie M." Gray in 1933.
