E. C. Harper, age 94, of Vienna, formerly of Seville, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, in a Cordele nursing home.

He was born in Crawford County to the late Lonnie Harper and Minnie Barefoot Harper. Mr. Harper was a farmer and a logger and the widower of Evelyn Stewart Harper, his wife of 51 years who died in 1987. He was a kind, gentle man with a strong work ethic all his life. He will be missed.

Survivors include:
Son: Charles Harper (Ann) of Pitts

Daughters: Sandra Pope (J. C.) of Vienna
Janice Brown Cottongim (John) of Marietta

Grandchildren: 5

Great Grandchildren: 10

He was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles L. Harper, Jr., his son-in-law, Marvin Brown; brothers, Philip Harper, Edgar Harper; sisters, Jessie Mathews, Allie Giles, Ruby Childers and Minnie Wade.
