Evnyl V. Wallace, 52, of Phoenix, Arizona, died in St. Luke's Hospital there at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, December 15.
He was hospitalized about two weeks but was in ill health for a longer period of time.
Mr. Wallace was born January 3, 1922 at Deport and came to Collingsworth County as a child. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Wallace.
After graduating from Wellington High School, he entered the armed forces, serving through World War II. Mr. Wallace was a carpenter.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Karen Hendley of Lubbock; two brothers, Meryl Wallace, his twin of Huntington, WV, and Bill E. Wallace of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Alyce McCarver of Hereford, Mrs. Bessie Clark of Ft. Worth, and Mrs. Nancy White of Frisco, CO, and a number of nieces and nephews.
