F. A. Maples who had been in very bad health for many months died last Saturday night in the city at the family residence, after having returned home from Wolfe City the previous week, where he had been for several months. Mr. Maples was well known here as a most excellent citizen, and numbered his friends by his acquaintance. He leaves a wife and one son to mourn his taking away, and we join the entire community in extending deepest sympathy. The deceased was laid to rest in the city cemetery Sunday afternoon.
