Services for Bill Feminear, 65, of Lubbock will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003 in Sanders Memorial Chapel with Bob Moody officiating. Interment will be in Peaceful Gardens Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.

He died Aug. 17, 2003. He was born Jan. 1, 1938 in Bay Minette, Ala. He married Carolyn Mixon on Jan. of 1955. He has been a resident of Lubbock since 1961. He was a printer by trade and was employed by Usry Printing Company, Dennis Brothers, Dataform Press and The Baker Company. He was manager for the Boy Scout Shop for the South Plains Council of Boy Scouts of America from 1997 until his death. His life was dedicated to his family and many friends. He was very active as a volunteer for the South Plains Council of BSA for the last 40 years. He served as a Scoutmaster for Wood Badge-Adult Leader Training, Council Training Chairman, Lodge Advisor for Order of the Arrow, Scoutmaster for Lubbock Childrens Home. In recognition for his service he received numerous awards including the Founders Award, Silver Beaver, Wood Badge Beads, District Award of Merit and held the Scouters Key.

He is survived by his wife; daughters, Debra Murph and Johanna Feminear, both of Lubbock; son-in-law, Brad Murph; two granddaughters, Jessica and Tracee; a sister, Frances Shamberger; and brother, Robert Feminear, both of Bay Minette, Ala. His parents, Frank and Jessie Feminear, preceded him in death.
