Ole Andreas Anderson was born in Ovre Liknes, Karmoy, Rogaland (changed from Skudenes) Norway, July 20, 1866 [sic]. He immigrated to America at the age of nineteen and located at Kendall County, Illinois. He was married to Gunhild Markhus on February 2, 1897. The union was blessed with eight children. Two have preceded him in death. Gayhart died at the age of three and one died in infancy. During their stay in Illinois they were members of the North Lisbon congregation. In 1916 they moved to Rake, Iowa where they joined the Liber (?) congregation. He died December 3, 1929 after having reached the age of 62 years, 5 months and 11 days. He leaves to mourn his passing his widow (Gunhild Markhus) and the following children: Mrs. Peder Thompson, Frost, (Gertie) Mrs. Edwin Sunde, Elmore, (Inger) Archie Anderson, Rake, Ober Anderson, Elmore, Luodolph Anderson (at home), Rake, Gayhart (at home), Rake, Ten Grandchildren, sister Mrs. John Olson (Bertha Helene Andersdtr), Frost, and brother Peder Anderson, Yorkville, Illinois.
Mr. Anderson confessed a sincere and childlike faith in his redeemer and gave a very touching farewell to his wife, children and relatives admonishing them to meet him in the Eternal home."
