Gahard (Gay) E. Anderson, 75, resided in rural Adams and died at the Meadow Manor Nursing Home, Grand Meadow, Mn. early Monday morning, September 11, 1989.

He was born March 25, 1914 in Kendall County, Illinois.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. Anderson, Adams; four daughters and sons-in-law, Illa and Alton Quade, Albert Lea, Mn., Glenda and Larry Sapp, Buffalo Center, Ia., Judith and Ernest Hamson, Wells, Mn. And Dea Gay Anderson, Brooklyn Center, Mn.; two sons and daughters-in-law, LaMar and Marsha Anderson, Waseca, Mn. and William (Drew) and Carol Anderson, St. Paul, Mn.; 19 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Inger Sunde, Decorah, Ia.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 13, 1989 at 2:00 p.m. at the Little Cedar Lutheran Church, Adams with Reverend Donna Joseph officiating and singing. Mrs. Gerald Meier was the organist. Pall bearers were his six grandsons, Brad Quade, Bruce Quade, David Hanson, Tom Hanson, Jeff Anderson, Joshua Anderson.

Interment was in the Little Cedar Lutheran Cemetery. The Adams Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
