In the home of his son-in-law Mr. Henry Widder, in the Town of Sheboygan, on Tuesday morning, Mr. Carl Pickruhn passed away.
He was born in the Province of Pommern, on August 27, 1828, and was at the time of his death 82 years old. Mr. Pickruhn came to America in 1852 and purchased a farm in the Town of Schleswig, which he farmed until 17 years ago, when he moved to Kiel to retire, and for about the last year and a half he has lived with Mr. Henry Widder in the Town of Sheboygan. The deceased was married twice and his second wife preceded him in death about 6 years ago.
He leaves behind, ten children, namely: Herman Pickruhn in Brillion, Mrs. Edward Salzmann in Louis Corners, Mrs. Ernst Liermann in Milwaukee, Carl Pickruhn in Granton, Wisconsin, Mrs. Alfred Voland in Town of Schleswig, Mrs. John Neumann in South Milwaukee, Mrs. Henry Schilling in Town of Schleswig, Theo Pickruhn in Town of Plymouth; 31 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
The burial will take place on Friday afternoon with Pastor Rech (St. Peters) officiating at the Rockville Cemetery
