After an illness of several months James Hooks, a well-known resident of Washington township, died at his home at the Harry Reynolds camp in that township on Wednesday afternoon, May 4. He was aged 68 years and is survived by the following children: Mrs. Henry Bauer, Kittanning; Mrs. Mary Toy, Mrs. Ora Wolfe, Mrs. Ora Patton, Harry, of East Franklin township; Mrs. Earl Tiy, Mohoning; Joe, Brackenridge, and Mrs. Wilda Tenney of Akron, Ohio. One brother, John B. Hooks, of Kittanning, and two sisters, Mrs. Jacob McGinnis, of Garrett’s Run and Mrs. Harvey Bowser, of Washington township, also survive. Arrangements for the funeral had not been completed at the time this was written.
