Lucille Irene Hillard, 85, of Paris, Ill., formerly of Newman, passed at 12:40 a.m. on Wednesday (March 10, 2010) at the Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana.
She was born on Dec. 24, 1924 in Martinsville to Alton D. and Mary Buckle Smith. She married Elmer Eugene (Gene) Hillard on Jan. 8, 1942 in St. Charles, Mo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 5, 2007.
She is survived by six children, Charlotte Graham of Grandview, Karen Hillard of Paris, Il., Sharon McLeod of Paris, Il., Lonnie (Anna) Hillard of Del Rio, Texas, Steve (Marsha) Hillard of Camargo and Janice (Bob) Aydelotte of Goldsboro, N.C.; eight grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
