Dr. Jochimsen graduated from Temple University School of Podiatry in 1950. He was a self-employed podiatrist in Philadelphia for most of his life, with offices out of his home on Sproul Road, Broomall; and at 40th and Chestnut streets in Philadelphia.
He served honorably in the Navy during World War II in the South Pacific as a chief pharmacist's mate.
He was predeceased by his wife, Frances (Redis) Jochimsen.
He was the loving father of two surviving daughters, Mary Jones, of North Wales, Pa., and Celeste Healey, of China; and three grandchildren, Bryan Jones, Erica Jones and Christopher Jones.
Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, Pa. (Kennebec Journal 4/24/2009)
